Davicom Semiconductor, Inc. was founded in May of 1996 when a group of US based data communication and networking experts acquired the assets of the Communications Product Division of United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC), one of the largest semiconductor manufacturers in Taiwan.
Davicom Semiconductor is a leading fabless IC design house specializes in the fast growing wire and wireless network communication IC solutions for mainstream applications. Davicom is a major supplier of Gigabit and Fast Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN), WAN and WLAN chipsets to international original equipment manufactures (OEMs) of networking and communications equipment.
Our strong mixed signal design expertise leads the R&D team to develop higher speed and lower cost semiconductor solutions. Davicom owns an in-depth patent portfolio in communications, including innovations in codec (D/A, A/D), Digital, Analog and Mixed-Signal IC design and DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms. Through our acquisition of UMC's Communication Products Division, Davicom also has numerous intellectual properties and licensing agreements with UMC. This alliance helps guarantee our manufacturing capacity from UMC with 0.25um and 0.18um mass production facilities. It also assures the availability of our products to our customers.
