*Open system architecture
The DigiStudio system makes use of standard, widely compatible, readily available protocols. This means installation, maintenance, use, and upgrade are accessible, stable, and durable. Communications protocol is standard TCP/IP. Teacher control panel uses Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Student language stations may employ embedded Windows CE .NET terminals, or normal PC stations, for the most efficient function/price ratio. Students can access language instructional materials from any LAN-connected server, campus wide. When appropriate, students can use Internet Explorer to do Internet research.

*Advanced instructional broadcast functions
Advanced 8-channel, LAN-based broadcast includes six simultaneous channels of digital A-V (such as a streaming audio, movies, WAV, MP3, MPG, DAT files, etc.), plus two analog audio channels. The teacher controls student reception, or allows students to select from multiple instructional streams.

*Group Talk
The Group Talk feature conveniently divides students into groups of 2, 3, or 4 for language practice. The teacher may join any group, or broadcast any group to all the other students.

*Browser Control
