Encore Thin Client(ENTC-1000)

ENCORE THIN CLIENT
- The Future of Enterprise Computing
Overview
Traditionally, the more computers a company has the greater the
maintenance cost. MIS personnel need to do the following tasks on
each
computer: install new programs or patches, update antivirus
software,
configure firewall, repair problems caused by viruses or by improper
operation, fix hardware problems, etc. According to a published
article on
ThinPlanet.com*1, the MIS staff spends about 80% of their time
performing
such routines. In addition, the disruption of business activities
caused by
computer downtime can cost the company even more!
By adopting server-client-based-computing, a company can keep the
maintenance cost to a minimum. This is especially true if 'thin
clients' are
deployed instead of traditional PC workstations.*2 And since all
software
maintenance is administered at the server side, maintenance cost
no longer
rises with the increase of users. Furthermore, it is easier to control
data
security with Thin Client's restrictive I/O port design.
