International Display Technology, or IDTech was created by Taiwan's Chi Mei Group and IBM Japan. IDTech's mission is to develop and manufacture large-screen, high-resolution TFT-LCDs of unsurpassed precision and quality, using state-of-the-art production systems.
True to the IDTech slogan, "New Visualization," the company's goal is to manufacture TFT-LCD screens capable of expressing images at a resolution that standard displays simply cannot achieve. Applications are many. In the very near future, for example, high-resolution LCDs will replace the CRTs traditionally used in industries such as medicine and printing, which require visualization of extremely minute detail.
