PLK Automotive Sensor Technologies Co., Ltd.

PLK started on July 1, 2000, as a TFT for Advanced Safety Vehicle Systems within the New Technology Incubation Program by Hyundai Motor Company.
The initial members came from R&D Institutes of Hyundai Motor Company and MOBIS to develop a new-concept ASV system called VCTSS (Vision-Controlled Transmission Safety System), which would later give birth to several ASV systems including LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System).
PLK Automotive Sensor Technologies, Inc. became a standalone company on July 1, 2003 with the capital investment from Hyundai Motor Company (HMC and its subsidiaries holds 17% of PLK stocks).
Besides the financial repations, PLK is now one of the major partner of HMC in ASV system development.
The Lane Departure Warning System co-developed by HMC and PLK is scheduled to be equipped into expressway bus and truck models in 2006.
PLK Automotive Sensor Technologies, Inc. is targetting to be the top solution provider of automotive smart sensors, including vision sensors. The Roadscope(TM) (Lane Departure Warning System) and Roadscope-plus comes first.
