Since inception in 1985, Space Shuttle Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. has been dedicated to the production of 3C cables and communication cables as part of the efforts to make a contribution to Taiwans economy and infrastructure construction. In seeking continuous growth, we adopt the business strategies of internationalization and diversification. After years of vigorous efforts, our 3C cable products are now sold all over the world. As our core business has attained stability, we embark on other business developments. In light that broadband holds the key to success in the new century, we decide to focus our efforts on optoelectrical communication components. Drawn on the strength of our existing wire and cable business, we aspire to become a leader in the manufacture and service of AON (all optical network) sub-systems.
Space Shuttle is a leading manufacturer of telecommunication wires and cables in Taiwan. Through continuous innovation and breakthrough, as well as the establishment of production, management, quality and service systems, we have earned ourselves a name in the industry. We obtained ISO 9002 certification in 1995, ISO 14001 certification in 2000, and ISO 9001 certification in 2001, and we were listed in Taiwan stock exchange in 2000. With capital of NT$1.2 billion, we now have five plants in Taiwan and abroad and employ more than four thousand employees. Our clientele includes businesses in Taiwan, Mainland China, Japan, Europe and USA. Under the flagship of Space Shuttle, there are four business divisions: Wires, Electrical Products, Optical Cables, and Optic Electrical.
Space Shuttle is currently putting forth all-out efforts to make headway into the optical communication industry. With plants in Hsinchu Taiwan and Dongguan China producing optical fiber, optical cable and optical passive components, optical connectors, and optical patchcord, we are poised to become a major supplier of optical communication components in the future.
For the sake of enhancing the competitiveness of our products and services, Space Shuttle has forged long-term alliance with leaders in the industry and academia to collaborate in the development of innovative technologies and products. We also put heavy emphasis on R&D. Our research centers in Taiwan and other countries embark on integrating research resources to gain a grasp on the cutting-edge technology and directions of the industry, and to nurture first-rate personnel in optical communication.
