YFC-BonEagle was founded in 1983 as a wire and cable manufacturer and has its headquarters in Taoyuan, Taiwan. We are now one of Asia' largest manufacturers of network cable and accessories, power cords, cordsets and power strips. Through the company philosophies of excellence, innovation, honesty and integrity the name YFC-BonEagle is now synonymous with quality and state of the art technology.
In the early years YFC-BonEagle engaged in the production of power cords and cordsets to various international standards and we soon gained a high reputation in the US and Europe for the quality of our products. Due to the efforts of everyone at YFC-BonEagle the high growth rate and increasing sales turnover resulted in the key decision to establish a new factory, POWIN Electric Co. Ltd., in Guangdong, China. Opened in 1990 the factory manufacturers its own PVC material as well as drawing and extruding copper wire and assembling and moulding cables and cordsets. Over four million pieces of power cords, cordsets, and power strips are manufactured each month and shipped to our customers. So successful have we been that in 1998 we constructed a second factory nearby to deal with the increased turnover.
Shortly after the first factory opened YFC-BonEagle recognized the growing importance of LANs and networked communications in the global market place and we made it our mission to develop a range of high quality network cable. We achieved a significant breakthrough when, in 1995, our first network cable was certified by UL and ETL and launched on the market. Our network cables are now sold world-wide under both our own name and as OEM. We cover the whole spectrum from token ring to ethernet and our R&D team is actively involved in preparing for the arrival of CAT6 and CAT7.
As market leaders in the field of network cables YFC-BonEagle' unscreened and screened cables were tested and certified by 3P-Third Party Testing Laboratory as conforming to ISO/IEC, EIA/TIA and EN standards: the first Asian cable manufacturer to achieve this! Both YFC-BonEagle and POWIN are ISO9002 approved.
Catching up with the market trend and fulfilling customers' need is our goal. We introduce our USB and IEEE1394 cables in 1999 to welcome the evolution of computer cables in 21st century.
