Wuhan Telecommunication Devices Co. (WTD) was established in 1980 as a joint venture between Wuhan Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications and Corning Lasertron Inc. As one of the earliest joint ventures as well as a high-tech enterprises, WTD is mainly engaged in researching, developing, manufacturing, and marketing 850nm/1310nm/1550nm optoelectronic devices and modules, which are widely applied in various fields, such as telecommunication, energy and resources, broadcast and TV, navigation, science and technology, and military etc. WTD's annual manufacture capacity has reached to 5,500,000 pairs of O/E devices and 1,500,000 pairs of O/E modules.
Up to now, with more than 800 employees and 11000M2 facilities, With the years of achievements, WTD has become one of the key enterprises in "Wuhan -- Optical Valley of China " and the largest O/E devices manufacturer and supplier in China.
